Chris Karman
Dr. Chris Karman has extensive experience in ecotoxicological hazard assessment and risk analysis. He was project manager of various multinational projects, in which risk assessment models for offshore E&P chemicals were developed in co-operation with North Sea Authorities, Offshore Industry and Chemical Suppliers (CHARM, DREAM, ERMS). Furthermore, Chris Karman is advisor of the Dutch E&P industry and governmental authorities, often in relation to the national and international legislative framework. In this role, he authored, a.o., the OSPAR Guidelines for SubSeabed CO2 Storage. He has been teamleader and facility manager of the Watersystem quality expertise team (marine and fresh water,(25 fte) of TNO from 2002 until 2005. His current position is acting head of department and manager business development with a market focus for the institute on offshore E&P industry, chemicals industry and non-ferrous metal industry.
