Bioforsk - Norwegian Institute for Agricultural and Environmental Research

The Norwegian Institute for Agricultural and Environmental Research is heavily involved in research on C sequestration in terrestrial ecosystems and environmental monitoring associated with climate change. Up to now, we have not been involved in geological CO2 storage, but are working on biochar sequestration in soils as a CCS method. Bioforsk is hosting the coordination of two FRP7 projects, including one on advanced methods for soil monitoring. The institute is also involved in research on the response of agricultural crops to increased atmospheric CO2 levels and climate change.
